MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers overcame an early 8-0 deficit and beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 10-9 to avoid a four-game sweep on Sunday afternoon at American Family Field.
Garrett Mitchell, Rhys Hoskins and Jake Bauers drove in runs as part of a four-run bottom of the eighth inning to take the lead.
Jared Koenig got the win in relief while Devin Williams notched his 13th save of the season.
Milwaukee is now 89-67.
Ketel Marte, Josh Bell and Eugenio Suarez all homered for Arizona. Justin Martinez was tagged with his sixth loss and second blown save.
The D’backs are now tied with the Mets for the second NL Wild Card spot with just six games remaining.
The Brewers have Monday off before starting a three-game series Tuesday in Pittsburgh against the Pirates.
