A man is dead, another man is behind bars, after a stabbing that lead to an hours-long standoff in Sheboygan Friday night. Police were called to a home in the 1700 block of South 25th for a 33 year old who’d been stabbed by his 34 year old roommate. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment, but did not survive.
Police were on scene for several hours trying to communicate with the suspect, who remained inside the home where the stabbing happened, with no response. Authorities eventually obtained a search warrant – and used a vehicle mounted ram to bust down the front door and take the suspect into custody.
The 34 year old suspect is behind bars awaiting charges of first degree intentional homicide. The incident is under investigation and Police are assisting involved families with support services.
