With the Independence Day plans of millions on the line, the National Weather Service in Milwaukee is providing a look-ahead to the chance of interruptions due to rain or severe weather this week, and the 4th of July might be affected.
First, though, comes a chance of thunderstorms on Tuesday, with the most significant risk being that of rainfall totals greater than one inch in the Sheboygan Area. The usual thunderstorm winds, hail and lightning will also be present, but less of a threat than the rains, while beachgoers may face a moderate-to-high swim risk due to dangerous rip currents on Tuesday.
Thursday afternoon through Friday presents the next window of opportunity for showers and thunderstorms, but as of now the threat of severe weather looks less than what’s expected tomorrow, and it’s most likely to affect us from late on Thursday through Friday morning, but as always one should keep up with the forecast.
