Korn recorded “Make Me Bad” in 1999 and released it as the second single from their fourth album
Issues
in February of 2000. It reached #7 on the US Alternative Songs chart and #9 on the Mainstream Rock Songs chart.
Many fans believe the song is about Jonathan Davis' getting tired of drug and alcohol abuse and his decision to get sober.
The alien inspired video is one of the most expensive videos Korn ever made. It spent 65 weeks on
MTV's Total Request Live
and became the band's fourth and final retired video.
“Make Me Bad” was featured in Puma advertisements as part of Korn's contract with the company.
