Well mark this down as the next time that Aaron Rodgers will say absolutely nothing about his future with the Packers! Can’t wait.
Honestly though, this has to be resolved by the time we get to this golf match, doesn’t it? Doesn’t it???
I will concede this, Rodgers looks like he’s having a hell of time in Hawaii:

Hanging out in paradise with his fiancé and the guy from Whiplash* is probably a better time than being at voluntary workouts in Green Bay. Granted, he’s never missed these workouts in his career before, but I think his workout bonus would have been $500,000? Ashtray money for a guy who’s making almost $33 million a year. That would be like Midwest Communications offering me $50 to not go on a two week Hawaiian vacation with my wife, and instead come to work and conduct an on-air debate about whether or not a hot dog is a sandwich (it is) and play Thomas Rhett 22 times in a four hour show. Pretty easy choice.
I do have a question for Packer fans about this Aaron Rodgers situation: I wouldn’t say I’m particularly bothered by anything happening right now, and I still think there’s a 99.99999% chance he’s the starter week 1, but the longer this drags out, is there a chance he gets booed at Lambeau Field? Green Bay Packer fans are, for the most part, the definition of working class/blue collar. And that group of fans doesn’t really take a shine to an athlete who makes more money in a week than they’ll make in a year, complaining about workplace treatment. Again, we have no idea what’s all going on behind the scenes. Whether it’s Mark Murphy/Brian Gutekunst’s fault, or if Rodgers is being overly sensitive, we have no real idea and probably never will. But it does feel like a certain segment of Packer Twitter is turning on him and I wonder if that would actually translate to audible boo’s on the field in September.
*KIDDING, I know Miles Teller, I actually like a lot of the movies he’s in. A GREAT throwaway movie is this bad boy:

A stupid movie with some cheap laughs that’s only about 90 minutes long. Sign me up!
