Five persons were injured and one person died in gun accidents during the 9-day gun deer season in Wisconsin.
The DNR Bureau of Law Enforcement said that the fatality happened in the Iron County Town of Saxon on November 23rd when one man was moving and knocked over his firearm, causing the gun to hit the ground. It discharged, striking a 65-year-old male companion in the chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Four of the other five accidents required hospital treatment; none of those injuries were life-threatening.
