SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – Although 21 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on Thursday by the Sheboygan County Division of Pubic Health, 21 recoveries meant no change in the number of active cases experienced currently in the county, which stands at 146. 12,847 cases have been totaled so far, and 128 have not survived. Two more persons in hospitals raised the patient total to 9. That statistic had fallen as low as 3 twice this month, but began rising again on Tuesday. The 21 positive test results comprised 4.4% of all results received since Wednesday.
The two-week rates and trajectories have now been updated, and in Sheboygan County for the period 2/10-2/23, the activity level was “High” at a burden rate of 214.8 cases per 100,000 persons. The trajectory indicated no significant change.
52 deaths in Wisconsin recorded since Wednesday were associated with COVID-19 by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, raising the death toll to 6,394. 840 of 13,177 test returns, or 6.4%, were positive for COVID-19, and 562,151 cases have been recorded so far. 61 more persons needed hospital treatment, and after accounting for deaths and discharges, the patient population dropped by 24 to 331, 97 of those in ICU beds. 381 patients in all are on ventilators.
Though not as dramatically as in previous weeks, today’s weekly Facility-Wide Investigations update did post a drop of 2 investigations, with 22 now underway. 4 of those are at long-term care facilities, 1 is at a group housing facility, 6 workplace investigations are underway, and 11 education settings are active.
Three of the 4 long-term care facilities being investigated were identified as:

- Pine Haven-Haven Drive Campus
- Rocky Knoll Health Care Center
All 11 education settings were identified. They were:

- Howards Grove Middle
- Lincoln Erdman Elementary
- Plymouth High
- Sheboygan Falls Elementary
- Sheboygan Falls Middle
- Sheboygan Falls High
- Sheboygan North High
- Sheboygan South High
