SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – It hasn’t exactly felt much like December to this point around here, but things are about to change according to the National Weather Service. A storm – still very much in the developing stages – is forecast to impact our area with some very December-like weather Friday night into Saturday, leaving several inches of wet, heavy snow by the time you wake up on Sunday morning. But there’s still plenty of wiggle room on exactly how much, and where you are makes a difference.
As of Thursday morning, 1.5 inches is predicted for the extreme southeast corner of the county, while up to 3 inches could be seen in the extreme northwest corner.
The City of Sheboygan, meanwhile, could get around 2 inches. And while that’s not a lot of snow, it will be accompanied by raw northeast winds off the lake. And regardless of what eventually does fall, it’s essential that city residents “park for tomorrow” so snow removal teams can clear the streets. Since Saturday is an even numbered day, park on even-numbered sides of streets on Friday night. That switches to the other side for Saturday night parking.
