(WHBL) – Expecting a tougher holiday season than usual due to the pandemic, the American Red Cross is asking healthy donors to donate blood or platelets this holiday season.
If you’ve had COVID-19 your donation could be especially important since your antibodies can help those fighting the virus to survive. If you don’t know whether or not you’ve had the coronavirus, you’ll find out since every donation is tested, and the Red Cross will send you the results in a week or two.
Blood drives this week include Tuesday from 12:30 til 5:30 at Faith Reformed Church in Cedar Grove, and at the Sheboygan Trades and Labor Hall at 11th and Wisconsin every Friday from 10 AM til 3 PM.
And if you donate between December 18th and January 4th, the Red Cross will give you a free long-sleeved T-shirt while supplies last. You can find other blood drives and make appointments to donate online at RedCrossBlood.org.
