One of Sheboygan’s busiest streets will be bottlenecked for a construction project beginning Monday, September 27th.
South Business Drive between Washington and Wilson Avenues will be restricted to one lane in each direction utilizing the two southbound lanes of that boulevard. That’s so a sanitary sewer can be installed for a Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen planned for the former Ryder Truck property.
The traffic pattern change will require the intersection of South Business Drive and Wilson Avenue to become a four-way stop for the duration of the construction, which is expected to last until mid-October, weather permitting.
City Engineer Kevin Jump acknowledged the inconvenience and is asking for patience and caution in the construction zone.
