A Sheboygan favorite for almost 70 years is not going anywhere, but soon you will see changes to Faye’s Pizza on Calumet Drive. The classic establishment that’s made the kind of pizza its customers swear by since 1957 is going to become easier to access, park and dine at, with added parking space, landscaping, outdoor seating, and an additional entertainment and multi-purpose room suitable for larger gatherings of up to 49 persons.
The plans which will go under review this afternoon by the City Plan Commission include modifying vacant buildings for the additional indoor and parking space, as well as providing access from an alley to the north that will eliminate trying to navigate Calumet Drive traffic in and out of the parking lot. The project should blend well with the surrounding area that’s designated as “Neighborhood Preservation.”
Construction on the $440,000 project is scheduled to start March 9th and should be completed by June 30.
