Numerous reports on social media Wednesday have pointed to a construction accident for causing power disruptions and detours near Plymouth on Wednesday.
It appears that a dump truck ended up on its side against power lines at a location about a quarter mile east of Highway 57 on County Highway “PP” late Wednesday afternoon. That caused the closure of westbound lanes at Willow Road, and disrupted power to numerous customers extending as far west as the Kettle Moraine according to some reports.
The driver of the overturned truck, a man in his 30s, was seen standing in the cab with an injury to his forehead, and responders reportedly had to remove the windshield to get to him.
The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office was not able to supply a report on the accident this morning.
