Wintry weather will maintain its grip on Sheboygan County this week, dominated by plenty of clouds, below-normal temperatures, and occasional bouts of light snow with one notable event in the offing.
The National Weather Service said that some minor snow accumulation could fall overnight, but only around a half inch is expected then. A more bothersome system is expected Tuesday night into Wednesday.
That system introduces snow, possibly mixed with rain through about midnight, then becoming all snow and adding up to anywhere from 2 to 5 inches by the time it ends Wednesday evening, with some uncertainty accounting for the wide range.
That will be followed by cold, dry weather for the rest of the week with single-digit lows and highs only in the teens. Things look even colder next weekend with single-digit temperatures both above and below zero until Sunday.
