Todd Janssen, the subject of a Silver Alert from the Wisconsin DOJ issued on Saturday evening, still has not been found. The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office released a statement on Wednesday evening affirming that after they, along with the Sheboygan Police Department, worked cooperatively to locate him, few leads have surfaced beyond the initial information that he’d walked on foot on Saturday morning until being taken by cab to the area of Broadway Road south of state Highway 28. That area, including specific residences, buildings and outbuildings, was searched both during and after Saturday’s snowstorm.
Search efforts including a drone resumed on Sunday, November 30th without success in the wake of considerable snowfall. A flow of tips and witness statements to the Sheriff and Police have been investigated and acted upon appropriately according to the release.
A large-scale search operation was launched on Tuesday after the receipt of further information. The effort involved the Wisconsin K9 SOS Search and Rescue Team along with the Sheboygan Police Department and fire departments from the Town of Wilson, Town of Sheboygan Falls and Kohler. The subsequent search of an extensive area again came up negative.
The Sheriff’s Office thanked numerous agencies and the public, but at the same time noted that the search area is private property and is to be respected as such. Anyone with information on Janssen’s whereabouts is asked to call the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office at (920) 459-3112.
