Nutt Hill in Plymouth is ready to become a destination for winter recreation once again. The ski hill, which saw wide use years ago, was purchased by the non-profit Cheese Capital Winter Park. The group undertook the restoration of the park into a ski and snowboarding destination after being idle for more than 10 years.
Nutt Hill is 100% community funded, with the City of Plymouth and donors combining to funnel over $2.3 million towards its revitalization. It now features a state-of-the-art snowmaking system, grooming equipment, a new lift system and new buildings. There are gently-sloped tubing and beginner skiing lanes, and five ski runs of varying difficulty from intermediate to advanced.
Nutt Hill will officially open with a ribbon cutting at 3 PM on December 16th, and afterwards will be open every day but Mondays for the season.
