A hunter suffered significant injuries after falling from a tree stand on Wednesday afternoon.
Social media reports say the man was hunting near Highways 28 and 144, approximately five miles west of Random Lake, when he called for help, bleeding with a broken leg, injured back and lying in a creek. Responders located the man and called Orange Cross Ambulance for pain control and signaled for a helicopter ambulance to land at the nearby New Horizon UCC Church.
A UTV was required to retrieve the man from the area. He was flighted to Froedtert Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
