A dog with a history of aggressive behavior and biting has been ordered to be released to the Humane Society for relocation.
The order comes after an October 27th closed session hearing of the Sheboygan Licensing and Public Safety Committee that considered an appeal by owner Anthony Gall to an initial finding that qualified the dog as a “dangerous/vicious animal.” That, after an October 12th incident in which the dog bit a child on the neck after growling aggressively, and recommendations from a veterinarian that the drug trazodone be administered along with use of a soft muzzle.
Upon reconvening in open session, the Committee upheld the initial finding and ordered the dog to be turned over within seven days to the Humane Society. The order also stipulated that if re-homing efforts were not successful, that it be euthanized.
