A vehicle that eluded State Patrol Troopers was nabbed by Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputies after a five-mile chase Tuesday night.
A Deputy spotted the vehicle southbound on Highway 175 near Highway 23, matching the description of one that the Wisconsin State Patrol had pursued, but abandoned due to construction zone work. Lights and sirens prompted the fleeing driver to accelerate on South Main Street through the City, eventually reaching 80 MPH before hitting a tire deflation device.
With three flats, the vehicle made it as far as Lost Arrow Road in the Township of Byron where three persons were arrested. The 26-year-old female driver from Green Bay was booked on charges of Felony Fleeing and Eluding an Officer, several bail jumping charges and violations related to the chase. Two male passengers from Green Bay were booked into the jail on probation and drug charges.
