Sheboygan Falls Police have announced the arrest of a suspect in the shooting of a 32-year-old Canadian visitor this past week.
Giovanni Michael (Mike) Robinson was killed in the 600 block of Monroe Street early Wednesday morning in what had earlier been described as a drive-by shooting from a small, black SUV.
On Friday the 26th, units from the Sheboygan Police Department, Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office, Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office and Sheboygan Fire Department converged with Sheboygan Falls Police on a residence in the 2300 block of Kroos Court in Sheboygan, executing a search warrant. The search resulted in the arrest of 35-year-old Luis E. Cruz Burgos on a charge of First Degree Reckless Homicide. Burgos is being held in the Sheboygan County Detention Center.
According to Sheboygan Falls Police Chief Aaron Wigen, a press conference to provide further details will be scheduled for early next week.
