Dan Campbell heading into Week 1: “And on the 8th day, the good Lord made Lambeau.”

You know what I hate? People who get up on an airplane the second it lands to try and get to the front of the line.

You know what else I hate? How much I love Dan Campbell. Don’t get me wrong, I hate the Lions, hate Detroit, hate how they’ve run the division for a few years now, but I can’t help but love this guy. Exhibit A of what a ‘football guy’ is. Loves football, loves cracking pads, loves the brotherhood, loves everything about the game. I liked him WAY more when I thought he was just a lovable meathead and not a coach who could win division titles and maybe a Super Bowl, but still, I can’t help but have a soft spot for a guy like this.

Now we’re going to talk more about this on the podcast on Friday, but I really think the Packers are catching this Lions squad at a good time for one of their two matchups. They’re trying to replace both their offensive and defensive coordinators this year, their All Pro center, Frank Ragnow, shockingly retired this offseason, it just feels like there’s going to be a learning curve for the first month of the season in Detroit. I’m not saying the Packers are going to dominate or win this game going away (WINK), I’m just saying Week 1 isn’t a bad time to catch a conference favorite when they’ve got some moving parts they’re still trying to figure out.

PS: Sounds like Micah Parsons is going to play in at least a limited capacity on Sunday. As he said in his introductory press conference: They didn’t give up what they gave up to bring me here and sit on the sidelines. YES YES YES! Related, inject this directly into my veins:
