There are three teams, THREE, in the last 90 years in Major League Baseball that have had multiple 11-game winning streaks in a single season. The 2025 Milwaukee Brewers are one of those three teams.
Imagine typing that when this team was sitting at 21-25 in May and the best thing we had going for us was a cribbage board giveaway. Here’s another fun thing to type:
Anthony Seigler pitched a scoreless inning in the same game that the Brewers scored 14 runs while beating Paul Skenes.
WHAT IS THIS TEAM!
I’m out of adjectives to describe this run. Plum out! I’ve never seen anything like it, I don’t know how long it’s going to last, and I don’t know if we’ll ever see something like this two-month+ stretch again. We’ve got pocket pancakes, we’ve got the power of friendship, the fightin’ woodpeckers, everybody in complete lockstep and a manager who seems like the real life version of Patches O’Houlihan running the show.
Now I know we’ve got a lot of Brewer fans on social media doing some emotional hedging. “There’s still a long way to go,” “they’ve got to do this in the playoffs,” “as hot as they are they can go cold just as quickly,” and on and on. Look, I get it. NOBODY gets it more than me. My wife and I were there for Game 3 of the Wild Card series 10 months ago, we watched Pete Alonso’s home run fly right past our heads and rip out our hearts. No amount of July or August winning guarantees anything in a playoff series. But instead of trying to protect my heart for two months from now, I’m doing my best to take on the same mantra as this team: One day at a time. Enjoy this ride wherever it takes us. To steal a phrase for one of the great modern day philosophers: “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you might miss it.”
PS: Another tasty element of this run has been the absolute CRASH OUT going on on Cubs Twitter:
golly gee shucks we don't even know how many games we've won guh huck huck https://t.co/YAQuw6tsYR

“They have to be cheating!” “The loss in October will be so sweet!” To think, a once proud franchise renting out their entire brain space to the Milwaukee Brewers. Sad!
Double PS: If you think I’m mentioning a certain Milwaukee-based restaurant in this blog you are outside of your mind.
