The State of Wisconsin, in partnership with the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation – a public/private agency – is sending some money to Sheboygan Falls in order to improve its historic and retail establishments. The $50,000 amount is from the latest round of the current $1.5 million Small Business Development Grants awarded to ten Wisconsin community organizations that are supporting small businesses across the state.
The City of Sheboygan Falls, the only recipient in east-central Wisconsin, will apply the funds to begin a Building Façade and Exterior Improvements and Maintenance revolving loan fund, or “RLF”. The new RLF will offer loans for façade improvements and maintenance ranging from $5,000 to $10,000, and interest rates will not exceed the prime rate.
In order to apply, businesses must first complete a technical assistance meeting with the Chamber-Main Street Executive Director or the City Administrator. The new RLF will be available to all businesses in the City’s historic district and commercial and retail areas.
Those interested can call the Chamber-Main Street at (920) 467-6206.
