With Independence Day falling just one week from today, the City of Sheboygan is prepping for its celebration called “Freedom Fest”. The 4th of July falls on a Friday, and that day’s activities start bright & early with the Sheboygan Y Freedom Run at 7:30 AM, finishing with the fireworks show, sponsored by Festival Foods at 9:30 PM near the South Pier. Events sandwiched in between include the Independence Day Parade at 9 AM, with music in Fountain Park immediately afterwards, while Deland Park and the South Pier district host most of the remaining events.
