It can sometimes take a team to save a life, and that kind of teamwork earned official praise from the City of Plymouth during last night’s City Council meeting.
Events had unfolded even before Orange Cross Ambulance had been called to help a person suffering cardiac arrest, rendering the victim without a pulse or respiration. A bystander was already performing CPR when they arrived; that bystander was retired Assistant Fire Chief Rory Beebe of Plymouth. Orange Cross EMT Austin K. and Paramedic Landon B. took over upon their arrival, and their actions along with the lifesaving intervention of Chief Beebe allowed the patient to leave the hospital with minimal to no neurological deficits.
The Plymouth Police and Fire Departments along with Orange Cross paramedics were officially recognized for their actions that allowed the victim to make a full recovery.
