Hello, my beautiful friends. Last week was rough. I’ve talked about how I have been struggling to work out according to my plan details and that continues to be a problem, but this past week I struggled with my meals. We had celebrations galore!
We attended my niece’s bridal shower, and the food table was littered with sweets, but alas there were egg bakes at the end of the line. There was bread in one, a pie crust on another, and hashbrowns mixed into the third. There was a small selection of fruit, but that was not going to be good enough to sustain me until dinner. At least there was protein in the egg bakes, so I ate the carbs. And it was a mimosa bar, so I had orange juice!
We celebrated Mother’s Day with my husband’s family, and they ordered pizza for dinner. My husband and I ordered a crustless pizza from Papa Murphy’s, so we avoided carbs there. I think it tastes just as good as a slice of pizza. My mother-in-law made a comment about how it looks like someone already ate it. I enjoyed it anyway.
Then we celebrated my niece’s birthday, my brother’s birthday and Mother’s Day at my parents’ house. For lunch I had chicken strips (not the healthiest choice, but again I needed protein). I caved and had a cupcake because my niece guilted me into it. It’s really hard to say no to a kid. I also ate too much fruit.
Because of all the celebrations there were no workouts to be had.
I went to bed last night feeling like crap! I struggled to get to sleep, I woke up in the night, once I was awake, I struggled to get back to sleep. Today I’m tired. This is the first day since starting the program I feel like I need a soda to wake me up.
I didn’t lose any weight last week. This week I know my schedule is crazy so I may not be able to make up lost ground, but I’m going to try.
When I have a week like this last one, it really makes me see how much better I feel following all the guidelines the doctors recommended for me at Eleve MedSpa. The Vitality Program really does make me feel better overall and I’m seeing the results. When I stray, I feel bad, when I stick to the program, I feel great. That is enough to encourage a lifestyle change for sure.
