The head-on meeting of two cars on rural roads just west of the Sheboygan Marsh Park has resulted in injuries to all four persons involved, with a 4-year-old now facing recovery in the hospital.
The Fond du Lac County Sheriffโs Office was called to the intersection of County Roads โGโ and โGGโ near the Village of St. Joe where investigation shows that a vehicle heading south on โGโ crossed the center line while trying to negotiate a curve. That resulted in a collision with a northbound vehicle occupied by two St. Cloud residents, a 51-year-old man driving the car, and his 50-year-old female passenger. Both had minor injuries and were treated at St. Agnes Hospital.
Also treated for minor injuries was a 26-year-old woman from Illinois, the driver of the southbound vehicle who had her 4-year-old child in the back seat. The child suffered significant head injuries and had to be taken to Childrenโs Hospital of Milwaukee for care. The mother was cited for operating left of center causing injury, and for operating a motor vehicle with a child aged 4-8 years not in a proper restraint seat.
County Road G was shut down for about 2-1/2 hours for the response to be completed.
