(WHBL) – The Maryland Terrapins picked up a big win at home on Wednesday night, beating 17th-ranked Wisconsin 76-68 from XFINITY Center.
The Badgers’ John Tonje led all scorers with 23 points and grabbed six rebounds. Steven Crowl netted 10 points and came within one rebound of a double-double.
Ja’Kobi Gillespie delivered 16 points, seven rebounds and five assists to lead the Terrapins. Rodney Rice also scored 16 points while Julian Reese added 14 points and eight rebounds.
With the win, Maryland improved to 17-5 overall and 7-4 in the Big Ten.
The Badgers have lost two-of-three and fell to 16-5 on the season.
Wisconsin visits Northwestern Saturday afternoon.
