Question: How much is too much to spend on a bobblehead as an adult man (40 years old)? $50? $100?? $223.50? Just throwing out completely random numbers here.
Admitedly I’ve never been a huge bobblehead guy. Early on when the Brewers starting doling them out in 2006 or 2007 I kind of got into it for a bit*. But, like with most things in my ADD brain, that obsession was fleeting.
But a George Costanza bobble?? Feels like that’s something I need for my office. I guess the Yankees handed out 18,000 of them to fans at Yankee Stadium on July 5th, and the secondary market has been popping off since then.
I see they went with Hitting Coach Costanza as the model for the bobblehead. A few other ideas I thought would make a good Yankee/Costanza bobblehead crossover:
1: Annoyed Costanza at his desk pretending to be doing work:
2: Napping Costanza under his desk:
3: Calzone Costanza:
4: Bad Boy Costanza:
5: My personal favorite: Body Suit Man:
The list could go on and on. Costanza dragging the World Series trophy behind his car, Costanza eating his Snickers bar with a knife and fork, Cotton Jersey Costanza, Hen Supervisor at Tyler Chicken, etc.
*I think it was during the 2007 season, the Brewers did a Bill Hall Bobblehead game. There was a generic Hall bobble, but a select few got Pink Bat Bill. I was one of those lucky few. Not a joke at all: I had a guy offer my $200 for it on the spot. I declined. Do you know how much that sells for on Ebay today? $10. Wake up 2007 Jon.
PS: I guess the Brooklyn Cyclones minor league team did a Costanza Marine Biologist bobble a while back??
Offense intended: This bobble kicks the S— out fo the Yankee version. He even has a Titleist golf ball in his hand!
