Speeding over 100 mph will usually guarantee a ticket, but a West Bend woman earned much more than that on Tuesday morning.
Washington County Sheriff Martin Schulteis said the incident began when a Deputy clocked a vehicle traveling 114 mph on Highway 45 near Badger Road just south of Kewaskum at around 1 a.m. Tuesday. While catching up to the vehicle the Deputy observed the operator driving erratically, including left-of-center. After stopping the 38-year-old behind the wheel, the officer saw enough signs of impairment to make an arrest, and a subsequent search of her vehicle turned up drug paraphernalia and marijuana.
She now faces her second charge of operating while intoxicated along with speeding, possession of marijuana, and could face additional charges once toxicology reports are received.
