US disrupts Chinese botnet targeting critical infrastructure, FBI says

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The United States disrupted a botnet used by China to conceal hacking of critical infrastructure, a senior FBI official said during a media briefing on Wednesday.

The operation disrupted hundreds of U.S.-based small office or home office routers hijacked by China’s state-sponsored hackers, the official said.
