Amazon's deal with Diamond Sports Group will provide a framework for DSG to emerge from bankruptcy.

It'll also allow customers to stream Bally Sports games on Prime Video — with pricing and availability details coming soon.
Anyone being forced to use the Bally Sports app reading this news:
Bally Sports is a first ballot HOF trash product. In fact, there are times I think I would prefer to just stare at the trash in my trash can than try to get Bally Sports to work. Some people are going to say that’s a first world problem, but I think if some kid working in a mine in Kyrgyzstan had to deal with that app he’d agree that it is the most infuriating part of his day. It wouldn’t shock me even a little bit if that app was developed by a terrorist organization as a primitive form of cyber warfare.
But the good news that dropped yesterday is that Jeff Bezos is here to save us all! All Hail Bezos! All Hail Bezos! Amazon fronted Diamond Sports Group (the company that owns Bally) enough money to get them out of bankruptcy, and as a part of that deal Wisconsin sports fans are going to be able to watch Brewer and Bucks games on Amazon Prime.
When this will become available, and more importantly how much it’s going to cost, are to be determined as of press time. As a Prime Member (also a Platinum Costco member, so, yeah, the blog is doing pretty good nbd), I’d love to live in a world where my basic Prime membership is going to give me access to these games. My guess is that that is not going to be the case. But regardless of what the upcharge is going to be, as long as I can click on ONE thing and be able to watch these games without restarting my Firestick a million times, I’ll be a happy camper.
PS: In a day and age where almost every multimedia company has an app, it is astounding how poorly the Bally Sports app works. How is it possible that in the year 2024, a company THAT big can’t develop an app that works correctly even 25% of the time? I feel like I’m a manger at Brandt-Leland talking to Kramer in this episode of Seinfeld:
“This app you’ve developed? It’s almost as if you have no formal training at all.”
Double PS: Long live Fox Sports Wisconsin:
