Pine Haven Christian Communities and the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice announced on Monday that they have entered into a preferred provider agreement for palliative care services and end-of-life care. Palliative Care services are available immediately.
Pine Haven, a non-profit organization founded in 1950 under the oversight of 18 sponsoring churches, operates with the mission “…to provide the aging population an environment that is a Christ-centered, safe haven, offering quality compassionate care.” Its three campuses are on Pine Drive in Oostburg, and on Giddings Avenue and Haven Drive in Sheboygan Falls.
The Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice began its mission in 2007 to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of patients with life-limiting conditions, along with their families. The non-profit SSRCH now offers hospice and palliative care in Calumet, Fond du Lac, Manitowoc, Ozaukee, Sheboygan and Washington Counties.
In announcing the agreement, the Chief Executive Officer of Pine Haven, Ron Walvoort noted that the two organizations share the “…core values of compassionate and quality care.”
SSRCH Administrator Eric Tetzlaff added that his organization is “…honored to partner with Pine Haven in the care of their residents who are in need of enhanced support…”, and that “Like-minded missions coming together for the benefit of serving our friends, families and neighbors is a positive for our community.”
