I love this woman. She just OOZES Midwest Mom. Her tone throughout this entire video is a combination of sternness and annoyance. It’s like she’s scolding you for even watching her video. I can’t get enough.
And not for nothing:
- There are some actual cooking tips in this video. Her point about minced garlic over fresh is accurate, and I learned about not using a seasoning bottle over a warm pan! Never considered that I could be letting moisture into my seasoning bottle but it makes sense.
- This taco tater tot casserole looks legit. Tik Tok is LITTERED with cooking videos where people put weird combinations of food together just to be provocative and then they throw all of that food away once the video is done. This is a real meal. Family of 4 or 5, Wednesday night, need to make something tasty and easy. Bingo bango taco-tater tot casserole.
Additional thoughts:
- She claims this is the only way to get her husband to eat tater tots. To which I would respond: What kind of lunatic (no offense) needs to be tricked into eating tater tots? Tater tots are a delicacy and should be treated as such. They don’t need a Trojan Horse to be enjoyed. Weird.
- If I’m the head of the frozen corn marketing department I am 1,000% using, ‘A bag of frozen corn, it’s FINE’ as my new brand slogan.
- ‘We’re going to top this casserole with some cheese. Why? Because I live in the Midwest.’ LOL.
PS: 2:38-2:42 is me every single time I’ve made anything, even if it is objectively horrible.
