First thought when I read this this morning and essentially the only reason I put it in the blog:
SNOOP A LOOP! The fact that there aren’t green hat shaped cereal pieces in this stuff is a major, major miss.
Anyway these are being branded as a, ‘sweet cereal similar to Fruit Loops with marshmallows, and just a drop of CBD for the extra energic kid in the morning.’ Ahhhhh I’m kidding. There’s no marshmallows.
In all seriousness this stuff sounds like it’s a Fruit Loops/Lucky Charms hybrid and that would have been RIGHT up my alley as a kid. Sadly, like with all things in life, stuff that was awesome as a kid isn’t as awesome when you’re an adult. When you’re a kid, walking through the cereal aisle at the grocery store is one of the best things about grocery shopping. You’re picking between Fruit Loops, Lucky Charms, Cinnamon Toast Crunch (GOAT), Cookie Crisp, etc. As an adult you walk through the cereal aisle looking for cereals with the appropriate balance of soluble and insoluble fiber so you don’t end up sitting on the can all day. 9 times out of 10 you’re walking out of the store with some sort of Kashi. It’s a real bummer.
PS: I did treat myself to some Honey Nut Cherrios at Costco the other day. That seems like a cereal for all ages. Loved it as a kid, love it as an adult, and it’s not a huge sugar bomb. The only problem with getting cereal at Costco is you have to pick something that you aren’t going to mind eating every single morning for 3 months. Honest to God the box we bought is INSANELY large. But a great deal. I’m thinking it’s going to last me clear until Thanksgiving. Will update the cereal-log as necessary.
