Mainline this content directly into my veins. Don’t want more, need more!
So in an effort to turn the tide on special teams next season, the Packers, A) Hired the best special teams coach on the market, Rich Bisaccia, and B) Brought in his punter of choice, Pat O’Donnell. I would guess there are more moves to come, the special team unit last season was like a house infested with snakes, best to just burn that baby down and start fresh, but those were the first two moves.
Well when Pat O’Donnell got to town, he needed a place to crash while he looked for a place of his own. Enter: Mason Crosby. Apparently O’Donnell has been bunking with Crosby ever since, and they’ve become best friends in the process. Karate in the garage, reading Good Housekeeping, the works.
Which all led to the above video. A home run on every level. Now what we need is a series of Step Brothers parodies. In no particular order I want to see:
- Pat O’Donnell performs at the f—– Catalina Wine Mixer with Mason on the drums.
- Pat and Mason apply for jobs with Rich Bisaccia while wearing tuxedos.
- Pat buries Mason in his own grave in the front yard.
- Fergie and Jesus singing scene.
- Boats and Hoes music video.
We’ve got a lot of time before mini-camp, I think one per week should do the trick.
PS: Are we in the trust tree? With the nest? Confession: I didn’t think Step Brothers was all that funny when I saw it in the theater when it came out. I can’t explain why that was, but when I left, I thought, ‘eh, Will Ferrell might be at the end of his run.’ Every single time I’ve seen it since I’m crying laughing, but for whatever reason that night it didn’t hit me as one of the great comedies of the last 20 years. This has bothered me for a long time and it helps to write it out loud. Thanks guys.
