Members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sheboygan County have stepped up to help the battle against COVID-19 through the distribution of N95 masks.
CEO of the organization, Christina Singh, said that the Club received over 25,000 masks to offer youth, families, nonprofits, and the general public through community pick up sites throughout the County.
Singh said that their organization is a practical way to get resources to those who need them, saying “Boys & Girls Clubs are safe spaces for kids during out of school time, and so much more. We are always eager to use our infrastructure to meet community needs.”
Singh added that a number of nonprofits have picked up a supply of free masks, including the Warming Center, RCS Empowers, Safe Harbor, Rocky Knoll Healthcare Center, Sheboygan County Interfaith Organization, Meals on Wheels, and more.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Sheboygan County was among several Clubs coordinating with the Wisconsin Office of Emergency Management to distribute nearly a half million N95 masks statewide. Locally, the Club coordinated with the County DHS which is also distributing masks.
