So every team released their ‘City Edition’ jerseys for 2022 yesterday, and the Bucks version is FIRE. And I say that despite the fact that everyone on Twitter seems to hate them for some reason. So uncharacteristic for that website to be littered with people who are upset about everything and think their ‘unpopular opinions’ are a personality trait:
I say that while also admitting that 70-80% of my phone’s battery life is spent reading those opinions on Twitter.
So they were essentially trying to create an amalgamation of every other jersey in the team’s history. I guess one point I can see is that the 90’s purple on the shorts doesn’t really go perfectly with the green from the 80’s, but that’s a small nitpick in my opinion.
Still, I think my favorite of the City Edition jerseys remains the Cream City 2019-20 version:
But I think I’d slot this year’s look at #2.
Related: I got a text on the station line yesterday asking if I’m worried about the Bucks slow start. In a word: Hell no. It’s November 2nd. Would I prefer that they be 7-0 and not 3-4? Sure. But it’s SO early. And they have been absolutely mangled by injuries. No Brook or Jrue since opening night. No Middleton on Sunday and it sounds like he’s not going to play again tonight. They just got Bobby Portis back. It’s been a tire fire when it comes to the daily injury report. So when you bake that into the fact that we’re 7 games into an 82 game schedule, I am not concerned in the least. If they’re hovering around .500 on Valentine’s Day? Then we’ll elevate to threat level midnight. But not before.
