“Raze” by Dakota Krout

Series: Completionist Chronicles Book 3 (technically 4)
Genres: Fantasy, Fantasy Magic, Science Fiction, Adventure, Epic Fantasy
“Raze” by Dakota Krout is the 3rd book in the Completionist Chronicles because “Rexus: Side Quest” was 2.5, not fully part of the Completionist Chronicles storyline, but a spinoff of it. It is technically the 4th book available though.
In “Raze” Joe’s powers continue to grow and that is drawing some unwanted attention. His powers also make him a more valuable member of the guild. Especially in these trying times.
In real life, Earth is in peril and everyone is faced with the decision of staying and dealing with it or joining Joe in the virtual world, Eternia. With so many new people populating the in game towns there is a lot of work to be done. They need to provide food, shelter, and training for everyone coming in. Joe’s powers and connections allow him to provide those things, but he needs to create a coven to help him.
The kingdom, however, has some concerns about the way Joe is conducting business, but he is an extended member of the Royal family since resurrecting the king. This makes things a bit more complicated for both sides.
This book is another great adventure though I felt as if it dragged at times. I think that the story flows nicely from book to book and the references to previous books is well explained without being too wordy.
I feel like any young adult would enjoy these books.
