516 Active cases of COVID-19 were recorded by the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health in Monday’s semi-weekly update of the pandemic. That’s 3 more than on Friday’s report, the product of 71 new positive tests balanced against 68 recoveries over the weekend. With 335 test results in all, the positivity rate since Friday was 21%, and is at a 7-day average of 11.06%. The Sheboygan County Transmission Level is “High”, with a 7-day case average of 245.36 per 100,000 persons. 15,350 cases in all have been recorded here during the pandemic. 10 persons are hospitalized, down 4 from Friday.
The Wisconsin National Guard will once again provide free community testing in the parking lot of the Aging and Disability Resource Center at 650 Forest Avenue in Sheboygan Falls beginning Wednesday, September 22nd. Testing will be repeated on Wednesday the 29th. No appointment is needed for the sessions conducted between 10 AM and 6 PM, however pre-registration is recommended online at register.covidconnect.wi.gov.
Vaccination doses given in Sheboygan County last week numbered 1,242, close to the 7-week average of 1,237 beginning the week of August 1st. 54.8%, or 63,196 County residents have received at least one dose, while 52.0%, or 59,981, have completed their series of shots.
