CINCINNATI, OH (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers opened up the second half of the season with a series sweep against the Reds in Cincinnati.
They blanked the Reds 8-0 on Sunday with Willy Adames, Jackie Bradley Jr. and Tyrone Taylor each posting two-RBI games.
Corbin Burnes earned the win after tossing eight-and-a-third scoreless innings, fanning 12 with just five hits allowed.
For the Reds, Sonny Gray was charged with his fifth loss of the year after he allowed five runs on six hits and four walks over four-and-two-thirds innings pitched.
The Brewers have Monday off before they begin a two-game interleague series against Kansas City Tuesday night at American Family Field.
