81 active cases of COVID-19 were reported on Monday by the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health in their daily update, a figure that has varied little over the past week as recoveries and new cases keep each other mostly in check. Since Friday, 14 new cases raise the running total to 13,801, and offset by 13 recoveries the active case count rose by 1.
During the same period the State Department of Health Services recorded 591 positive test results – 151 of those in the past 24 hours – and the running case total reached 608,583. One death was reported today, and the toll is now 6,990. 24 more persons were hospitalized, and the Wisconsin Hospitals Association, after accounting for deaths and discharges, noted a net gain of 12 patients to a total of 254 hospitalized. 87 of those are in ICU beds, and 382 patients statewide are on ventilators.
