Emergencies can’t follow a schedule, but blood donors can, and the American Red Cross is asking donors to keep some dates in mind for opportunities in the area.
More donors, especially those with type O blood, are needed now to ensure that patients have lifesaving blood products available for emergencies and everyday medical treatments.
And as March is Red Cross Month, donors who participate between March 15th and 26th will be thanked with an exclusive Red Cross T-shirt, while supplies last.
A blood drive is scheduled for Thursday from 11:30 until 5:30 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Plymouth, and there’s one every Friday from 10 until 3 at the Sheboygan Trades and Labor Hall at 11th and Wisconsin.
If you can’t make one of those, you can schedule a donation by visiting RedCrossBlood.org.
