SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – The opinions of Sheboygan Area School District parents will be weighed on Tuesday during a special meeting of the School Board as it considers options for learning under pandemic conditions in 2021. Last week the board announced that it would consider various options for in-person learning in a hybrid model beginning January 4th.
A decision made earlier this month had chosen to remain all-virtual through the end of the first semester later in January. However, with the COVID-19 metrics trending in a favorable direction, and without any feared spike in cases following the Thanksgiving holiday, a January 4th return to the classroom looks more likely.
A parent survey should have been completed and returned by Sunday, and the special meeting to consider that feedback will be held on Tuesday. Parents will be sent the results of that meeting in a letter.
Meanwhile the Random Lake School District Board is also asking parents to respond to their online survey in order to help them in crafting learning models for 2021.
