(WHBL) – The State DOT on Thursday announced that Governor Tony Evers signed a $1.7 million contract with James Peterson Sons of Medford to add Sheboygan County’s 11th roundabout, this one to the intersection of County EE and Highway 28 at Sheboygan Falls. The contract begins today (Friday) and is expected to finish at the end of June 2021. This will be the second roundabout for Highway 28, the other is at Highway 32 just west of the upcoming project.
“EE” will be closed for an expected 10 days starting next week, detouring traffic on 28 to highway “A”. Full closure of the intersection next year will have motorists on Highway 28 routed to Highway 32, County Road “V” and I-43, while “EE” traffic will use 32, “V” and County Road “A”. The DOT says the project is intended to improve safety and operation at that intersection.
