CHICAGO, WI (WHBL) – Christian Yelich hit an inside-the-park home run and also walked four times as the Milwaukee Brewers bombed the White Sox 8-3 in Chicago on Thursday night.
Jedd Gyorko homered and drove in three and Mark Mathias knocked in two as Milwaukee earned a split of the four-game, home-and-home series. Josh Lindblom pitched five innings of two-run ball for the win.
Gio Gonzalez gave up five runs in less than five innings to take the loss for Chicago. Leury Garcia went 2-for-3 with a home run and all three RBI for the Sox, who are just 1-4 at home.
The Brewers return to Miller Park Friday night to open a three-game weekend series against the Cincinnati Reds.
