SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – While Sheboygan County’s most recent 24-hour testing results returned a drop to 4.8% positive, state results notched back up to 5.9% according to the latest reports from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services and the County Division of Public Health. Sheboygan County added another 21 cases, now totaling 605 for the run of the pandemic so far.
State numbers added 870 new cases to push the total to 51,049. 12 more persons recovered in Sheboygan County, meaning that 65.3% of cases here have resolved. Statewide, the recovery rate is nearly 80 (79.2) percent. Hospitalizations in Sheboygan County number 4 – stable for the last few days. In Wisconsin, another 46 persons entered hospitalization for treatment of COVID-19. While less than 1% of Sheboygan County cases have required hospitalization, Wisconsin’s rate is substantially higher – 8.9%.
Besides urging to “Mask Up Sheboygan,” the daily report from the Sheboygan County DPH also promoted the state’s “Let’s Go Wisconsin” campaign to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
