Let me tell you something about this ad: It might be the first time in recorded history that I did not click on the 'skip ad' button 5 seconds in. I love the Johnny Cash version of 'We'll Meet Again,' so that roped me in right from the beginning. And after seeing the first empty baseball stadium, I knew what direction we were headed. I'll be honest, I was a puddle by the end of it. This one from ESPN has been playing relentlessly on Hulu as well:
I'M NOT CRYING YOU'RE CRYING. Lindsey and I have been watching 'Justified' on Hulu, and I think this ad plays during every commercial break. Constantly reminding me that we should be watching Brewer games at this point. Don't get me wrong, 'Justified' is an awesome show. Who doesn't love Timothy Olyphant? No one, that's who. But at this point of the calendar, we should at least be able to break up watching 5 straight episodes of TV with an inning or two of baseball.
PS: I don't know why, but all of the news I'm reading about Coronavirus, the success of social distancing, flattening the curve, etc. this morning, has me optimistic that we might be turning a SLIGHT corner. I realize we have a long way to go, but I'm beginning to believe that baseball and basketball are going to be back by July 1st.
