Welp, we don't have to wait for USA Today to do the last relevant thing they do, rank the Super Bowl ads. We've got the winner right here! Scout! What a good boy. SUCH A GOOD BOY.
Also, WeatherTech going the route that Budweiser has for decades is a no brainer. Bud cracked the code a long time ago. Animals>everything. Give me dogs, give me Clydesdales, give me talking frogs, win-win-win. And on top of it being a dog, it's a dog who overcame cancer. A literal home run. This is the Super Bowl commercial equivalent of 'Man Getting Hit By Football':
Give WeatherTech the award, this contest is over!
PS: I can't even venture as guess as to how much time I waste watching, 'The Dodo,' animal videos on Facebook. And I don't even like the page! They just keep popping up. Probably because I keep watching them. But every single one of those videos I sit and watch in their entirety. Homeless dogs getting cleaned up and adopted, cats learning how to walk, etc. I spent 3:21 this morning watching surveillance video of a groundhog who eats vegetables out of a garden every day, and looks directly into the camera while he's doing it. What's he doing! Does he know it's a camera? Is he hosting a fake cooking show?? I can't get enough.
