GREEN BAY, WI (WHBL) - The Green Bay Packers will begin their voluntary organized team activities today. Contact is not allowed, but injuries can still pop up - as the Dallas Cowboys found out this week when they lost linebacker Sean Lee for the season with an A-C-L knee injury. Cornerback Casey Hayward hopes to make an impression after missing most of last year with a nagging hamstring. Coach Mike McCarthy will also get a look at his six tight ends. That doesn't count Jermichael Finley, who met with the team's medical staff Wednesday about the devastating neck injury he suffered last October and his resulting fusion surgery. If he can play, Finley must still work out a contract since he's a free agent at the moment. The Packers will also get their first look at defensive end Julius Peppers - the team's top free-agent signing this spring. The Packers will have ten voluntary O-T-A practices - today through Saturday, next Tuesday through Thursday, and June 10th through the 13th. Green Bay's mandatory mini-camp for players will take place June 17th through the 19th.
