Candidate Profile: Terry Katsma for 26th Assembly

SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - Two people are trying to replace Mike Endsley as the Republican nominee for the 26th Assembly district seat this fall.  One of them is Oostburg resident Terry Katsma.

Katsma has served as a village trustee and on several education boards, but he points to his 34 years in the banking industry as his greatest asset.  He believes being a former president of an area bank and experiencing the complex nature of the industry can help him handle the financial situations in Madison.

Katsma says he is a social conservative who is pro life and wants choices for public education, and adds his personality and background can help improve the partisanship atmosphere in politics today.

Katsma faces Job Hou-seye in the August 12th primary.  The winner faces Democrat and former Assemblyman Terry Van Akkeren in the November 4th general election.
